Founder, security architect and inventor
Stéphane Ikoué is a security architect, inventor and founder of Modelo Security. With more than a decade of enterprise and consulting experience, he brings together original research, practical engineering and business risk decisions to advance security modeling and threat modeling.
Security modeling
His security modeling research examines how systems should remain secure: their purpose, architecture, identities, trust relationships, policies and controls, together with the evidence needed to support confidence in their protection.
Threat modeling
His threat modeling work examines what could compromise that security: threats, misuse, attack paths and vulnerable assumptions. It connects the analysis to prioritized responses and validation. The two disciplines are distinct, complementary foundations of his research.
His early career included serving as a Technical Instructor Lead at General Dynamics Information Technology, building a foundation in technical leadership and making complex subjects understandable. He later brought that perspective to security architecture and threat-modeling work at JPMorgan Chase and Costco Wholesale.
Across enterprise roles and consulting engagements, his experience spans banking and financial services, payments, wholesale retail and e-commerce, healthcare and medical devices, enterprise technology, aerospace and defense, and government technology services.
He has led architecture reviews, developed reusable assessment practices and connected findings to controls, remediation and accountable risk decisions. His technical scope covers applications and APIs, identity, cloud infrastructure, hardware, firmware and supply-chain security, with research extending into AI security and human oversight.
His multi-year invention and patent-development work culminated in U.S. Patent 12,706,925, issued on August 11, 2026, for cybersecurity threat modeling and analysis. Modelo builds on that work through proprietary methodologies and established industry practices.
Within SECURE®, his platform vision includes attack simulation and attack emulation as complementary ways to examine scenarios, defensive behavior and evidence. The aim is to carry the reasoning from system understanding through risk assessment, remediation, governance and assurance.
For Stéphane, security modeling connects how a system is designed, how it is protected and the evidence behind its security decisions. A useful model makes the next decision clearer: what needs attention, why it matters, who owns the response and how its effectiveness will be reviewed.

Threat modeling
What could undermine that security?
Identify and analyze threats, misuse, attack paths and assumptions that could compromise the system. Prioritize responses and define how their effectiveness will be evaluated.
Attack simulation
What happens under a selected scenario?
Explore selected attack scenarios, their possible effects and the response of modeled or controlled environments. Compare hypotheses, risk and defensive outcomes.
Attack emulation
How do defenses respond to adversary behavior?
Reproduce selected adversary behaviors, informed by threat intelligence, to evaluate how defenses prevent, detect and respond. Focus on behavior and measurable evidence.
Governance, risk, compliance and AI security provide additional contexts for this work, linking technical analysis to policies, control evidence and human accountability.
